Bid for an item simply by clicking the 'bid' column of the table which contains the item you want, this will take you to the BIDS form, or, open an e-mail box for you to bid directly to the seller.

This guide is for everyone’s benefit and we strongly recommend you read it and the Terms and Conditions carefully before engaging in Gunauction.

Gunauction is the ideal way to sell your gun or related items because it reaches a world wide audience, twenty-four hours a day. Our charges are reasonable and a fraction of the cost of a traditional auction. Your auction will be available to bidders not for one day as at a saleroom, but for a full two months!

It is also worth noting we charge nothing other than the initial charge. No commissions, no premiums, no hidden costs.

We are not mail-order dealers but a true auction.

Gunauction is an electronic medium and we collect charges by credit and debit card online. We accept cheques, postal orders and cash, at the senders risk, for all charges. We welcome e-mail and telephone enquiries to advise on values.

Sellers.

There are four types of auction that you can enter your item into:

a) Showcase Auction

b) Table Listing (including International)

c) Wanted Ad/Swap (including International)

d) Full Page Showcase Auction (by arrangement)

a) Showcase Auction

To submit a Showcase Auction you must fill in the online submissions form.

In a Showcase Auction you provide Gunauction with graphics to include on your listing. These can be provided as e-mail attachments, or if you lack the facility you can post photographs to Gunauction at the address below. Photographs will be converted to electronic media and treated in the best interests of the auction. It is the responsibility of the seller to provide good quality representations of the auction item.

A Showcase Auction can be International or United Kingdom only.

You are charged a 'one-off' non-returnable fee for inclusion of your item on Gunauction.co.uk. The charge's for Showcase Auctions are £30/$48 and run for two months. The seller has the choice of having their auction bids handled by Gunauction or handling them personally through a nomiated e-mail address, though it is the responsibility of the seller to keep Gunauction informed in order to update the bid details on the site.

We collect money online, but you can choose to pay by cheque or PO. Send your cheque, postal order, or cash at the senders risk, to:

Within a week of your cheque clearing your lot will be entered into the sale for a period of two (2) months.

If your lot fails to sell or make it’s reserve it will be withdrawn, but may be re-entered at a 50% discount of the original entry fee. You can close the auction at anytime and accept a high bid.

b) Table Listing. (including International)

Use the online submissions form to submit a Table Listing.

Table Listings are the basic sale medium on Gunauction and ideal for almost any type of sale item. Table Listings are available for International or United Kingdom only.

Table Listings cost £10/$15 and run for a period of two months. You can choose to have bids managed by Gunauction or directly from buyers to a nominated e-mail address.

We collect payments online but do accept cheques, PO's or cash through the post to the above address.

c) Wanted Ads and Swap Shop. (including International)

Use the online submissions form to submit a Wanted Ad or Swap.

Wanted Ads and Swaps can be submitted as International or United Kingdom only.

Wanted Ads and Swaps cost £7/$11 and run for a period of two months. You can choose to have offers handled by Gunauction or through e-mail offers directly to a nominated e-mail address.

d) Full Page Showcase Auction.

E-mail for details of having your own and private web page just for your item. You can have as much graphical representation as you like and it can be formatted to your own design. Full page Showcase Auctions can be International. This type of auction can also be e-mail direct bids or managed.

Recommended for high value items.

All Auctions

Details of a winning bidder, either through a high bid that you accept directly or by a winning bid, will be sent by e-mail and you must then instigate the sale and transfer of legal documents and money if applicable. If your lot fails to sell or make its reserve it will be withdrawn, but on receipt of another application and a payment as above less a 50% discount, may be re-entered. You can close the auction at anytime and accept a high bid.

Showcase Auctions run on a cyclic system to ensure fair coverage on the site. Initially your Showcase Auction will be entered at the bottom of the page, which is irrelevant in any case as visitors will usually automatically scroll down to check, but over a matter of time it gradually comes to the top, unless of course a sale is made prior to this.

The price for a Showcase Auction may be negotiable to begin or stay at the top of the Showcase Section. E-mail us for details.

Other Services.

Trade

The trade is welcome to engage in Gunauction. Trade prices are negotiable depending on the items offered for auction.

Trade customers should contact Deva Arms Co (Gunsmiths) for further details, see the contacts page for address etc.

We will negotiate with the trade for commission sales.

Any seller who wishes to sell an item from Gunauction, and also wishes us to handle all aspects of a sale including legal transfer, please contact us to negotiate a price, including transport details.

Addendum:

Any lot can be converted to a higher level at any time by instruction from the seller and on receipt of relevant fees, further details and graphics or photographs.

Bidders.

You bid on an item regardless of the type of auction chosen by the seller.

It is important to check carefully the description as it appears on Gunauction.

Gunauction has no control over the price or description and makes no guarantee of accuracy of a description or adherence to proof laws etc. You the buyer must beware and act accordingly. We will however be happy to give advice by telephone or e-mail.

If you are the high bidder you will be informed by e-mail and given all details of the seller. It is then up to you the bidder to communicate with the seller and arrange the transfer of the lot and money. The seller will also be informed at this time and be given the high bidders details by e-mail. If the seller is handling bids by direct e-mail, Gunauction has no further involvement in the sale.

If both parties were registered by Paypal, money payment by credit or debit card can be made by either party in a completely secure and efficient manner. Gunauction recommends all parties using the Paypal system for peace of mind.
